Street Cones Theatre is the data controller for your personal information, and we will ensure that it is used and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) and Electronic Communications Regulations (2003) and, as of 25 May 2018, the EU General Data protection Regulation (EU 2016/679).

We are committed to protecting the information you choose to share with us and will not pass it on to third parties without your prior permission. Your data is held securely, password protected and available only to members of staff who are responsible for contacting you.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Depending on the reason for interacting with us, we may collect and hold information from you. If you are a supporter or member we may collect:

Contact and emergency contact information including telephone number(s), email and postal address

Records of correspondence with us
Billing and invoicing information

We may also collect an automatically populated IP address when you use our website or email service. This public IP address is a unique number which allows a computer, group of computers or other internet connected device to browse the internet. The log file records the time and date of your visit, the pages that were requested, the referring website (if provided) and your internet browser version. This information is collected to help diagnose and manage the website, to audit the geographical make-up of users, and to establish how they have arrived at the website.

Our website uses cookies which to collect information about your online behaviour, preferences, and settings. This data is collected automatically but is aggregated and anonymised which means that we cannot identify you as an individual. We use Google Analytics to audit this information regularly. No personal information is stored or saved by our cookies. You can opt out by clicking ‘No’ when the pop-up prompts for your consent when you arrive at our site and can manage your cookies by adjusting your browser settings.

We also use our website to enable visitors to sign up to our newsletters by providing us with their name and email address. Submitting this information provides your consent for us to contact you with information about the company, forthcoming productions, events, training opportunities and fundraising appeals. If at any time you wish to unsubscribe from our email list, there is an ‘Unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of every email.

To send marketing communications and keep you up to date with news, performances, events and talks, and let you know about opportunities to engage with and support our work

This notice was updated 21 November2021. Any changes we make to our policy to reflect future changes to regulation or legislation will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, you will be informed where we hold an appropriate email address for you.

Code of Conduct

Street Cones Theatre is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of its members, Cones, trustees, employees, associates, volunteers, partners and stakeholders, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all. Street Cones believe that it is important that members, and others associated with us, show respect and understanding for the safety, security and wellbeing of others. Therefore, all are encouraged to be open at all times, and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of Street Cones with the current Trustees.

As a member of, in any role, and by becoming a member of, in any role, with Street Cones you are expected to abide by the following code of practice.

Safeguarding Policies

All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of participants (members, colleagues, employees, associates, partners Cones and stakeholders.) regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity. We do not condone or allow to go unchallenged any form of discrimination or prejudice.

Members should never deliberately use insulting or offensive language or gestures, in any form of interaction (face to face, virtually or online) and should not tolerate such behaviour from others.

Bullying will not be tolerated. Bullying is defined as any behaviour that is intentionally hurtful to others, physically or emotionally, usually repeated over a period of time.

Any illegal activity or illegal intent from any member(s) will not be tolerated and will result in the member(s) leaving Street Cones and with the possibility of the relevant authorities being involved, and the member(s) being prosecuted

All members should :

Take reasonable measures to protect their own safety and security and the safety and security of others when using Street Cones website or social media, or when representing Street Cones publicly.

Be a positive role model, and treat other members with the same level of respect they’d expect to be shown themselves.

Recognise the valuable contribution to Street Cones members, who are volunteers and who give their time and resources freely.

Encourage everyone to enjoy Street Cones and understand that people have different motivations for taking part.

Please remember you are all the public face of Street Cones.

Promote the positive aspects of Street Cones to others.

Display appropriately good standards of behaviour.

Street Cones Commitments to members:

Undertake venue risk assessment and act upon any findings.

Ensure that the relevant insurance and guidance is in place to protect members e.g. Privacy Policy.

Support all members through respecting and recognising who they are.

Treat all members with respect, fairness, integrity and dignity.
