Positive Lines

Positive Lines will offer members of our community support through fishing and creating tackle on certain days.

We are looking for people who aren't already being supported or not engaging with other service providers.

Challenges people may be dealing with include mental health, addiction, bereavement, loneliness or people may be on a road to changing their life to a more positive purpose.

Or you may just love fishing.

Meetings will take place every 2 weeks unless agreed in advance for every week.

The first meetings will take place in Helensburgh and Lomond, Dunoon and Gourock areas.

We are only able to support 12 participants at any one time.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

John Buchan

If you're on your own, or feel alone, if you're struggling, if you're worried and stressed come fishing and share the space.

We haven't got all the answers however it can really help to be around others and to enjoy the fresh air, learn to fish and chat.

Hot food and drink will be available, where possible, and we also have fishing gear if required.

If you've got your own fishing gear bring it along.

Bait provided, and we will forage for bait.

We want to make

Positive Lines a regular event

.... let us know you'd like to

go fishing.
