Workshops

Group Support

We run bespoke workshops for large or small groups. Through the lived experience of one of our Cones we tell their story. Then through use of improvisation, discussion and role playing we investigate how to approach challenging situations going forward. Examples of previous scenarios we’ve used are:

  • Being asked to get involved in something illegal by friends

  • Opening a letter for a debt they can’t afford to pay

  • Interacting with a parent who is a substance abuser

  • Exploring individual identity in the community

  • Getting up and going to school in the morning

  • Victim empathy- making a perpetrator feel what it’s like to be in their shoes

These workshops enable participants to hear what others have been through; their thoughts, rationale, emotions and feelings.  They enable participants to start their journey of development, realising there are positive opportunities, choices, outcomes and hope.

Support Services

Working with your people our Cones will relate their lived experiences, and ask you to work with them to explore alternatives, opportunities and improved ways of dealing with the challenges presented.

Through discussion, improvisation, role playing and theatre exercises we look to explore the art of the possible to enhance the delivery of crucial support services.

By exploring the lived experience of our Cones, participants gain an invaluable insight into 'the other persons shoes', by trying to wear them.  This can create an understanding, a realisation, that there may well be other ways of handling situations.  It can start the journey to improving relationships, processes and structures to enable a more objective understanding and approach to others.
